Country Bliss Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern

Here is what you will need to make this baby blanket:

Gauge:

4 rows, 3.5 stitches = 1 inch in stockinette stitch.

Measurements:

Finished blanket measures 31″ X 44″.

Abbreviations:

K: Knit

P: Purl

C8F:  Cable 8 Front (slip 4 stitches onto your cable needle to the front of your work, knit the next 4 stitches, then knit the 4 stitches off of the cable needle).

C8B:  Cable 8 Back (slip 4 stitches onto your cable needle to the back of your work, knit the next 4 stitches, then knit the 4 stitches off of the cable needle).

Pattern:

Cast on 124 Stitches.

Row 1-6: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of the row (for bottom border).

Row 7: K8; *K12, P2, K16, P2; repeat from * two more times; K20.

Row 8: K8, *P12, K2, P16, K2; repeat from * two more times; P12, K8.

Row 9: K8; *K12, P2, C8B, C8F, P2; repeat from * two more times; K20.

Row 10: K8, *P12, K2, P16, K2; repeat from * two more times; P12, K8.

Row 11: K8; *K12, P2, K16, P2; repeat from * two more times; K20.

Row 12: K8, *P12, K2, P16, K2; repeat from * two more times; P12, K8.

Row 13: K8; *K12, P2, K16, P2; repeat from * two more times; K20.

Row 14: K8, *P12, K2, P16, K2; repeat from * two more times; P12, K8.

Repeat rows 7-14 until work measures 42.5 inches.

Repeat rows 1-6 to complete top border.

Finishing:

Cast off and weave in the loose ends with a yarn needle.
