Headband and Hand Warmers Crochet Pattern

Headband and Hand Warmers Crochet Pattern

Hats are great, but sometimes you just want to put your hair up into a ponytail and not worry about it getting smushed.  That’s why I love headbands.  They are not only easy to make, but keep your ears and head warm – without ruining your up do.  So, if you are like me (and my daughter) and enjoy wearing your hair up in the winter, I think you will love this pattern set.  I also included an optional flower to make it extra pretty!

This set has another awesome benefit besides being ponytail friendly.  It can be worn comfortably indoors too!  I’m always cold, so I love fingerless gloves (aka hand warmers).   They keep your hands toasty while allowing your fingers to be free to type, or knit, or crochet!  Fingerless gloves also do not require too much skill as you don’t need to worry about finishing off the fingers.  If you are looking for an into to crocheting gloves or mittens, hand warmers are a great place to start.

This pattern set is written for both adult and child size, and can be purchased from my Etsy and Craftsy stores (whichever you prefer).

You will need worsted weight yarn (the type I use is listed in the pattern) and an I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook.  I would rate the pattern as easy, but you do need to know how to crochet in the round and how to make a magic circle (also called magic ring).
