I love making wraps for my studio. I do buy many of them on Etsy, but it is so rewarding to make my own. I enjoy being able to make a wrap that is exactly the size and style that I have in mind for the look I want to create. And the only cost to me is my time (which doesn’t really count since I love knitting), and the cost of the yarn.
This newborn wrap is now one of my favourite wraps to use when baby girls come in the studio. Its so soft and delicate, just like the beautiful babies that I work with. The pattern is rated as an intermediate pattern because it requires some more complication stitches. In order to make this wrap, you will need to know how to do the following stitches: Yarn Over, Slip Stitch, Knit 2 Together (K2Tog), Knit 2 Together through Backloop (K2Tog TBL), Pass Slipped Stitch Over (PSSO).
So, if you love the look of this wrap and are looking for a more intermediate knitting pattern, you can purchase the pattern through Craftsy or Etsy. You will need 6.5 mm (US 10.5) straight knitting needles and lace weight yarn.
