I saw this gorgeous tweed yarn and fell in love with not only the colour, but the price too! So, I purchased a bunch of skeins and started knitting this bonnet. Since the bonnet only requires half a skein of yarn, you will likely see another project soon using the same yarn. I always list the yarn required in my patterns, but in case you are interested, this is Wool of the Andes Tweed in Sequoia Heather. I have to mention that I am an affiliate for Knitpicks, so I do get commission on sales that come from my blog. But I wouldn’t use a yarn that I didn’t love in my patterns, and I absolutely love the quality and affordability of their yarn lines.
This rustic newborn bonnet knitting pattern makes the perfect newborn photo prop. It looks gorgeous for those posed basket shots and curled up tummy poses. The bonnet was designed with baby boys in mind, but would look great in feminine colours too!
