Believe it or not, the ground is already covered in snow here in Calgary. To get through the very cold, very long winter ahead, I thought, why not knit up the most luxurious, warm -and of course stylish cowl possible?! Up here, winter can last from October, all the way to the end of April – so I really wanted to make something extra luxe and cozy.

I had ordered a few skeins of Knit Picks Fable Fur Yarn a while back, and thank goodness, because it was perfect for the cowl that I had in mind. I kid you not, this is the softest faux fur yarn I have ever felt. It is pure luxury, the skeins are huge!! I managed to make the perfect cowl with only one skein of yarn. So, if you’re looking for ideas for inexpensive holiday/Christmas gifts this year, I have the perfect pattern for you!

The pattern for this extremely soft and cozy faux fur cowl is a quick and easy one. It is perfect for beginner knitters, and if you’re an experienced knitter, I think you could complete the entire project in less than an hour.
